Acer Bonsai Tree
|
This Acer Bonsai tree is well priced for its size and maturity. It will develop very well over the coming years as all the hard work has already been done in terms of shape, nebari and overall structure.
This Deshojo Bonsai tree is around 25 years old and is showing off early summer leaf colors. Deshojo Bonsai trees are famous for their stunning fire red leaf display in spring. When your garden is coming back to life after winter, the Deshojo tree will be one of the first to attract the eyes attention. This bonsai tree is grown from seed in the UK and is one of our favorite trees at the moment.

English Maple Bonsai Tree
|
The English Maple Bonsai Tree featured above comes in a high quality unglazed bonsai pot. This tree is around 30 years old and has great trunk movement, and the nebari is coming along nicely. A good English Maple is hard to come by so we are very excited to list this interesting tree. The full trunk can be seen when the tree is in leaf due to the slightly longer branches. If you prefer a more compact look then the branches can be shortened. A fantastic example of an English Maple and we will post more pictures in spring.
A 25 year old Deshojo Bonsai Tree showing early summer leaf colors. The leaves were a slightly brighter red when they first cam out and light up fire red in the sun. Deshojo bonsai trees are one of the most striking of all bonsai trees and this is possibly our very favorite tree to date. We have more expensive and show worthy trees in our stock, but something about this particular bonsai tree just works. It is a joy to watch this tree come out of winter dormancy and show off the beautiful fire red leaves. The nebari is really coming along nicely and the overall shape is beautiful. We currently have this tree on white a stone plinth with our other deshojo on a stone plinth nearby. Together they really add to the beauty of a garden. We do sell stone plinths and will list these in due time.
A very mature tree and very hard to come by. The pictures shows the leaves out in spring.

Acer Maple Bonsai Tree
|
The above Maple Bonsai makes part of our private collection. Something about this tree just works. A bonsai tree is supposed to look like a wise old tree and for some reason this one does it very well. This tree may not be as cost effective as our other trees and we are happy to keep hold of it. There have been trunks removed many years ago and it is really the depth of view on this tree that really gives a great viewing pleasure. This is very hard to see in a picture as the camera can not pick up on the depth of this tree. The pot is of very high quality and tree will be 50 years old approximately. It could be older.

Acer Palmatum Bonsai Tree
|
The above Acer Palmatum Bonsai Tree is an exceptional example of a show quality bonsai tree. This tree was imported from Japan and is one of the best Acer Palmatum's in the UK at the moment, possibly the very best. This is a 6 trunk Bonsai which makes this a very rare tree. The Nebari is exceptional and we will post pictures of the breath taking Autumn colors soon. The shallow pot is valued at £1000 and is of the highest quality. Not many of these trees surface for sale very often as they are generally found in private collections and are not for sale. This tree represents great value for money. Trees like this can go for in excess of 20k at venues like the Chelsea Flower Show.

7 trunk acer maple bonsai tree
|
The above Maple has 7 trunks which make it very rare. 2 of the trunks are still developing and this tree is around 60-70 years old.The pot is very beautiful and believed to be a Walsal Ceramics. This is a large tree measuring approximately 90 cm tall. A car with a large boot or a small van will be needed to collect this tree. The Autumn colors are stunning strong red which is very desirable on a tree like this. A real show piece to compliment your garden. Trees like this are becoming harder and harder to find at an affordable price. The layering on this tree is brilliant and viewing is highly recommended. Complimented by small leaves the multiple levels of layering are very visible throughout the tree. An expensive tree but one that will bring enjoyment every year for a lifetime.

Trident Maple
|
The above Trident Maple Bonsai tree has fantastic Nebari and a beautiful shape to it. It is planted in a shallow container showing of the skills used to develop this root system. The pot is a high quality Japanese glazed pot. This particular tree is one of our favorites as it ticks off all the requirements required of a quality bonsai tree.

japanese trident maple
|
We managed to get this tree for a very good price and can pass this on to the buyer. Japanese Trident Maples are very desirable bonsai trees and once the initial hard work is done in developing a tree (done by Japanese nurseries), the day to day care of these trees is very easy. Just make sure you water them enough and use fertiliser once a month. This tree has lovely Nebari which was one of the reasons we chose it, good trunk thickness and is an upright design.

Japanese trident maple bonsai tree

We will post more pictures of this Trident Maple Bonsai tree when the leaves are fully out. This is quite a large tree, and going on the advise of a well known professional the potential buyer may wish to cut off the bottom branch entirely. We chose to leave it on just in case someone preferred the fuller look.
We sell many different types of Acer bonsai trees and if there is a variety that we do not have and you are interested in, then we will do our best to source one for you.
We often look after Trident maple bonsai trees that are often referred to as Acer Buergerianum, These trees are a very tolerant species and will tolerate pruning, dry soil and drought as well as air pollution. Because of its resilience to air pollution it is often grown in built up urban areas. The autumn colors on this bonsai tree will give off a spectacular display of oranges and reds.
Most maples are quite tolerant to winter conditions however the trident maple bonsai tree will need some protection. The roots can be damaged by frost due to their high moisture content. Trident maple bonsai trees can be shaped into nearly all bonsai styles and their root structures make them ideal trees to be grown over rocks.
